Various committees exist within ISTU to ensure that the goals of the society are met and are representative of the needs of the membership. Each of these committees report to the Board, which has the sole responsibility to execute financial and programmatic actions. ISTU members are encouraged to offer suggestions to the committee chairs for actions involving the various committees.

Fry Award Committee: The responsibility of this committee is to nominate candidates for the William and Francis Fry Honorary Fellowship for Contributions to Therapeutic Ultrasound. Chair, Kullervo Hynynen

Lizzi Award Committee: The responsibility of this committee is to nominate candidates for the Fred Lizzi Early Career Award. Chair, Jean-Francois Aubry

Meetings: The responsibility of this committee is to select sites for future meetings as well as to assist the local committee with the organization of the annual symposium. Chair, Emad Ebbini

Nominations/Elections Committee: The responsibility of this committee is to nominate candidates for open positions of President, and Members of the Board of Directors. Chair, Chris Diederich

Sponsors/Exhibits Committee: The responsibility of this committee is to recruit Sponsors for and Exhibiters at the annual ISTU Symposium. Chair, Kim Butts Pauly

Standards: The responsibility of this committee is to promote the development of international standards for therapeutic ultrasound. Chair, Mike Sekins

Student Awards: The responsibility of this committee is nominate candidates for the Nadine Barrie Smith Student Award, as well as other student awards. Chair, Tom Leslie
